- I have a problem with my A4000/EC030. When I try to open any non-cybergfx
- screen (i.e. an AGA screen for example, with ppshow 4.0), I get a duplicate of
- the WB screen, which is an 800x592x8 Cybergfx screen. MultiCX tells me an extra
- screen has opened, and I can grab the graphic from the PPshow screen by using
- Adpro`s Screen Loader.
-
- This duplicate of the WB screen makes it appear as if WB has frozen - but
- flipping back to the real WB screen (AMIGA-M) is possible. I have removed the
- contents of my WBstartup drawer and the same problem exists (no conflicts there
- I would assume) - I have also narrowed out the user-startup. The only programs
- I have running in startup-sequence is the one needed for newicons, but I have
- commented that out and still get the same problem. startup-sequence is othrwise
- unchanged.
-
- The AmigaDOS screen does not appear during initial bootup, and I only get one
- when user-startup finally kicks in (WB is set to a cybergfx screen).
-
- If I actually use Prefs/screenmode to change the wb screen to an AGA
- screenmode, Super72 in 8 colours, for instance, WB blanks and essentially
- hangs, can`t get back in - need a reboot to get started again.
-
- I would assume the problem lies with cybergfx - I am using v2.14u from the
- Aminet, but the problem existed with v2.10 - it was OK, AFAIK, with 2.08.
- It can`t be a LISA failure (can it?) becasue I`ve had sereral games work OK,
- such as the CU Amiga coverdisk demo of Desert Strike.
-
- Can anyone help?
